Catering Chronicles

***2/13/2013 Update: Apologies to those who have inquired, I will be out of commission till Aug 2013***

I started my blog about two years ago and it’s been such a wonderful creative outlet. I love the idea of sharing things that I enjoy with other people, whether it be a great new restaurant or a recipe I found online. This site encapsulates everything I love. It has expanded my hobbies, and from that has come support and new opportunities.

With that being said, I’m thrilled to announce that I am in the process of setting up my own catering business on the side.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of catering my friend Michelle’s birthday party! We decided on a mix of hors d’oeuvres and buffet selections for the fabulous birthday girl and 30 of her guests.

{Burrito Cups}

{Wayfare Tavern Deviled Eggs}

{Buffet – Korean Tacos, Rotisserie Chicken Pot Pie, Ratatouille & Orzo, and Mini Cordon Bleu}

{Creamy Roasted Corn Soup with Crab and Truffle Oil}

I’d love to help plan a custom menu for your next event!

  7. it before and I’ll say it again – anonye who has crossed paths with her or has been lucky to work with her have only great things to say. They get it. They get her. The media is on her case because she doesn’t play the HW game. It’s sad, because she clearly loves what she does and is so dedicated. It’s like media comdemns actors who don’t choose to entertain them not just in the movies but also with their personal lives. It’s so wrong. Where are people’s sense of decency? Anyone who works in any other profession gets to have a private life and is not criticized for it. Unfortunately, actors don’t. Chaske said it so well when he said she is an actor but doesn’t want to be a celebrity. I don’t know why those have to be one and the same. Acting is a job. A craft one chooses to do. Not an easy one so anonye who goes into it has to really love it and be willing to stick with it because it isn’t all that glamourous. It takes no talent to be a “celebrity” – just watch any of those reality tv ones. Unfortunately, when reality TV came on the scene – anonye who went into the business for actual acting not just to be famous for crazy antics got the short end of the stick. I adore Kristen – always have. She sticks to her values and does what she does for the right reasons. I wish it wasn’t such a struggle for her because it really stinks to constantly feel like you are being maligned for just doing what you love in the way that you want to do it. I appreciate the Twilight crew though for sticking up for each other. She doesn’t ask to be defended, but has so many folks backing her up. Speaks volumes on her character as a person. Hope you had a lovely mini-vaca S! :) Happy Friday everyone!
