Since the introduction of dark liquor-based cocktails from serious mixologists at Wilson & Wilson, Bourbon & Branch and Smugglers Cove – I’ve been obsessed with drinks that involve bourbon, whiskey, scotch, rum mixed with aromatic spices like bitters, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. It has this wonderfully exotic and intoxicating quality you don’t find in clear-based cocktails.
